The famous stadium of the football team of the Moscow sports society "Dynamo" in Petrovsky Park was opened in 1928. It became the largest stadium in the country; about 2000 athletes could train here at the same time. The opening of the football stadium helped popularize football and its capacity has grown to 53,000 spectators. The main entrance was located in the western semicircular stand, which became the gathering place for the Club's fans. From 2008 to 2018, the stadium was closed for reconstruction and, after opening, became a modern world-class sports arena.
